For The King Co-op Review

November 27TH, 2020

In my personal experience, I’ve traveled to many places. In different parts of the world, I’ve met many different kinds of people, seen different kinds of culture and by the age of 25 or so, I could say at that time that I had been to more places than the average person in their mid-20s. Maybe even more places than the average person. Period.

Despite that, I would still describe myself as pretty sheltered. It feels like the more I see and discover, the less I actually know about life. But, if I were to be completely honest, I personally feel that I’ve experienced even more than that. I’ve not only been to many different places, but I’ve also traveled across many different worlds. I’ve not only met many different kinds of people, but I’ve also lived many different lives.  And although those experiences may be different from others, a good number of us who consider ourselves gamers can probably relate to that. Through gaming we experience so many things that we wouldn’t normally be able to experience in real life.

Even though I grew up poor and without much outside of video games, I would never tell someone that my childhood was boring. It was far from it. Video games can take us places. I say it once and if you stick around long enough, sometime in the future you’ll definitely hear me say it again. Video games can take you places. But, sometimes we like to share those experiences with friends or family. Sometimes you want to pack your bag and camp out with more than just yourself and a single tent.

In our review today, we’re going to talk about a cooperative tabletop-like RPG that could offer a nice, varied but simple adventure for someone who’d like to bring a couple of friends along.

This is For the King on the Nintendo Switch. Also available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
